Bestway Spa Pump Settlement Deadline Has Passed; Recall Is Separate
The Bestway spa pump settlement claim deadline was October 5, 2026. As of October 29, 2026, that deadline has passed. Claims had to be submitted online or postmarked by that date, according to the official claim form.
The settlement website now lists the final approval hearing for January 6, 2027, at 9:00 a.m. MST. Its important dates page still lists October 5 for claims, objections and opt-outs. The later hearing date is not a published extension of the claim deadline.
What to do now
- Already filed a claim? Keep your submission confirmation and recall records. Payments will be issued only after the settlement is approved and becomes final; the settlement FAQ gives no fixed payment date. Notify the administrator if your contact information changes, as required by the claim form.
- Missed the deadline? Call the settlement administrator at 833-386-6517 to ask about your circumstances. Do not assume a late claim will be accepted—the published deadline remains October 5. The FAQ provides the administrator’s contact details.
- Still have a recalled pump? Stop using it and contact Bestway about the recall. The settlement cash-claim deadline is separate from the safety remedy. See the CPSC recall notice.
Which pumps are covered?
The settlement covers purchasers in the United States, including its districts and territories, who bought specified Bestway AirJet or HydroJet spa pumps from May 2021 through May 2024. The nine model numbers are:
P05332, P05339, P05711, P05807, P07000, P07001, P05511, P07034 and P07572. These are listed in the settlement class definition.
Check the pump itself, not just the inflatable tub’s branding. CPSC says “Bestway” and the model number appear on a label on the pump’s side or back. Affected pumps were sold separately or packaged with SaluSpa, Coleman or Hydro-Force spa liners. Those brand names alone do not establish that a particular pump is covered. See the CPSC identification details.
Settlement payment versus recall remedy
These are different benefits with different requirements.
| Benefit | What the official documents say |
|---|---|
| Recall remedy | A free replacement pump, or a refund of $100 for AirJet or $189 for HydroJet |
| Settlement cash payment | Up to $75, subject to a timely, valid claim and eligibility review |
| Settlement warranty benefit | An automatic one-year extension to the Bestway Limited Warranty for class members’ recall replacement pumps, if the settlement becomes final; no claim is needed for this benefit |

The cash provisions identify class members who took a recall refund and submitted a valid claim, and former owners who submitted a valid claim with proof of purchase—even if they had not participated in the recall. Owners still holding an affected pump had to participate in the recall first. Recall participation alone did not replace the settlement cash claim. The claim form explains these routes.
The $75 amount is not guaranteed: the settlement caps the cash-payment fund at $2 million and provides for proportional reductions under the conditions described in FAQ question 11.
Do not keep running an affected pump
CPSC announced the recall on September 12, 2024, because the pumps can overheat and ignite their plastic housing. Its notice reported at least three fires reportedly involving the pumps, including a fatal house fire. This is a stop-use recall, not a reason to try filter cleaning or routine pump troubleshooting.
Contact Bestway at 888-943-2396, Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. ET, for the recall remedy or help locating your recall claim number. The official settlement site directs owners to this number.
For owners concerned about fire losses, the settlement FAQ says the release expressly excludes personal-injury claims and property-damage claims other than damage to the covered pump itself. Those losses should not be confused with the up-to-$75 settlement payment.
